The Nominating Committee is responsible for the recruitment of directors with a high level of Board-based leadership skills

The Development Committee is responsible for the identification and cultivation of prospects for individual, annual, and major gifts. The committee develops and monitors fundraising programs and stewardship programs.

The Program and Grants Committee is responsible for the establishment and funding of self-sustainable, replicable, and transferable programs that promote the objectives of the AFC. The committee focuses on areas with significant gaps where the AFC can forge successful partnerships with local communities, consumer organizations, academic institutions, researchers, or other foundations.
