Mission

The mission of the Actuarial Foundation of Canada is:

(a) to promote youth awareness and education in mathematics and financial matters,
(b) to advance the public’s understanding of financial and risk-related matters, and
(c) to research societal issues involving risk and to advance actuarial knowledge in the interest of the public.

Vision

The vision statement of the Actuarial Foundation of Canada is:

"A public well-educated in financial and risk-related matters and an increased interest in mathematics and financial matters by youth".

To accomplish its mission, the AFC will pursue a variety of goals through giving and receiving grants, focusing on education, research, and consumer education initiatives for the public and especially young Canadians.
